Alas
This week is finally over
Not that it was a particularly difficult one
I'm just really looking forward to going to New York
Fly off at 6:30am tomorrow
Stoked
A few clips of new Linkin Park surfaced
Everybody I know seems to really not dig them
But I don't see anything wrong with them
I guess people are mad they're trying to get into the whole rock/emo scene
But I welcome them into the scene
The scene needs some good, big names that can headline festivals and stuff
Saying that I'm sooooooooooooooo bummed that I'm not going to the Bamboozle next weekend
I could see Linkin Park, Taking Back Sunday, Brand New and The Matches all on one day
That would be like the best thing ever
But I simply can't afford it
Last night I went to see No One Goes Home at The Alley
They opened for We Are The Fury, The Outline and Automatic Loveletter
But they pulled in waaaaay more fans than any of the others
NOGH had a good 50 people watching them
We Are The Fury had about 9
It was a fun show though
I love hanging out with the NOGH guys
And I got press through We Are The Fury
So I got to hang out backstage and eat food and stuff
Tonight I'm going to Ross's
He has New Year's Day on the show
And we are going to go see MC Lars after at the Knitting Factory
Things with Kyla are going well
I think we both really love each other
The distance is just making it really hard
I wish I had more money and time so I could go see her more often
I'm working on it...
Annie Lennox came and spoke at my school today
MTVU was filming it for the show "Stand In"
Where they substitute a celebrity for a professor
She lectured a women's studies class about poverty in Africa
I'm not too familiar with her work besides "Sweet Dreams Are Made of These"
But it was still cool to see her speak
Alright, well I'm off to Ross's
Catch ya later!
