Well Here we are. Time for another Blog!

Its been almost 2 weeks, but Ive been to busy to do anything but comment on other blogs.
Before we get started, MY ETSY SHOP still has stuff for sale.

I doubt many of you know this, but I am a musician. Or at least was/is/do you ever stop?
So my life has always revolved around Music..

Want to take a trip with me into my odd taste in music? I didn't think so, but you are coming along anyway.

Part 1. THE INTRO!
Is is Arco Arena by Cake. I always envisioned this being the music played when I walked into the room.

I have always loved Cake for their fantastic bass lines that shine through into part of the melody.

Part 2. The Meat Part 1
Bass is my instrument of choice, so when a band plays with it as a major component instead of backing sound, I love them for it. TOOL has always made the bass lines prominent in such a moody and amazing way.

It is dark, brooding, yet soothing and mesmerizing. I love this band.

Part 3. The Background
My introduction to music started early. My parents were avid listeners of Classic Rock. While they loved music from the 60s, they believed that the 70s provided the world with some of the best music.

Yes, I know this song is from 1968. But this was the basis for So much music to come later. After all, Steppenwolf can be credited for creating the term Heavy Metal in Born to Be Wild.

Part 4. THE 90s.
I found my love for music in the 90s. Bands like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Candlebox, Bush, Better than Ezra, Screaming Trees, The Refreshments, Big Bad Voodoo daddy, and Nine inch Nails became my daily listening. Each of these group pushed their "Modern Rock" Genre in a different direction. They added influences from country/western, 70s rock, 80s metal, 80s New Wave, and swing to create new and exciting sounds. Almost no one in the decade (Save a few unoriginal groups ie Nirvana) sounded like anyone else. (influx of hate for nirvana comment in 5....4.....3...

I may have to go back through and do this again with 90s groups and who their influences are.

Part 5. My odd eclectic taste has evolved.
Yesterday listening to my IPOD, the songs shuffled like this.
Old Crow Medicine Show, Lupe Fiasco, Skynyrd, Tool, Brad Paisley, Unknown Hinson, Pantera, Grayson Capps.

so to celebrate im going to give you Grayson, Old Crow, and Unknown. Im sure most of you have never hear them.

First up is Grayson Capps. You should all make time to see him.

Next is Old Crow Medicine show. A modern revival of Bluegrass in a fantastic way.

And Finally I leave you with some Comedy from the KING OF COUNTRY WESTERN TROUBADORS
UNKNOWN HINSON

If You made it this far I will talk a little more about my goings on here in SGLAND

KUROSUNE Has a Fantastic new set out and YOU NEED TO LOVE IT!
Audrisa Has a great set as well that is damn near 1000 comments and needs to be mainpaged

Both of them have fantastic blogs on a regular basis, continually communicate with their friends on the site and are beautiful. They have all of the qualities I look for in a potential SG and I really wish more people were like them.
