New years sucked but not as much as most. Lots and lots of free delicious microbrew. Studying plenty for GRE. Seem to be stuck at 1220. Not bad or good. Sufficient, though, especially for someone who hasn't taken a test in over a year or a math test in four in a half. Apparently it is illegal to give someone the prescription sunglasses they've paid for in advance if the doctor is out at the optometrist. What law this is, I do not know. Yoko Ono is a very bad actress as well as a weird and terrible reason to break up a band. I cannot sleep cannot sleep cannot sleep. Happy 2010. Christmas was good. Got screwed in secret santa at work. I'm not really offended, though. I think the whole thing is kind of silly too, I just like giving gifts so I don't mid participating. God an amazing piece of framed somethinggreen behind museum quality glass from a buddy. Lots of random good utilitarian stuff, GPS for one seeing as directions are my kryptonite I mean it's really kind of pathetic. Once I had to get out of my friends' not-too-confusing neighborhood and ended up somehow turning myself around on two or three random highways and almost running out of gas by the time I find American Adventures. Keep in mind it's almost midnight and the place is closed and I'm thinking I might have to break in to try and find a phone in this shut down amusement park because my gas light is on and I haven't seen a gas station in miles... phew... Anyway, I find a gas station and get directions to the big chicken and from there home. Not a great punchline but it's really more of an example than an anecdote. I am going to drink and take random shit until something kicks in and puts me to sleep.
