The rain is wonderful. It is going to help me sleep. The bad news is my IPOD is fucked up and I need to send it to Apple. The screen broke and I am pissed. The good news is that I got an A on a test I was worried about.
I am thinking of changing my major to something else. I am so frustrated with the Bullshit I keep getting fed in Sociology and the types of people who litter the science. Everyone is a hardcore leftist or leans that way. The vast majority of them are elitist assholes and hypocrites.
I was in class today and we were talking about Domestic Violence. One of the students said that the police could be sued if they dont arrest someone during a domestic violence dispute. I told the class that it is not the duty of the police to protect you (the individual) and they laughed. When I offered proof, well a place where they could find it, they laughed. I was so angry. It bothers me that they want to believe that everything is peachy in the world and that they believe what they have been spoonfed by television.
It also bothers me that they laughed at my expense. The teacher makes jokes about the fact that I ask questions all the time. At one point I think he was serious about not taking any of my questions. And the class thinks it is funny when someone gets humiliated. I would ask then why they are not taking advantage of their educations and getting their moneys worth? Why they dont have a lot of knowledge about the real world and what they do know is based on television? Why are my tax dollars going to their education and they cant even bother to participate in class? Its a bunch of bullshit.
The state of the society in which I am forced to live is deplorable. I realize that everyday. More and more I see people think that they are entitled to things and that the government will protect them. OR that the governments job is to do this. When I asked them where in the US Constitution it said that the governments job is to operate a school system or to dish out financial aid money they cant point that out because it is not there. I am getting that money myself and I see the hypocrisy in it. However I would also argue that I am trying to take advantage of it.
I also want to know why they feel it is acceptable to spend tax dollars on things that will not benefit them or that are wasteful. Or even pointless. I find that the majority of sociology is pointless and useless once your outside of college. Does anyone really care about the effects of gender on disabled people, specifically those in wheelchairs? Yes, the disabled do. However in the real world I would argue that the majority of people dont care about this shit because they have their own problems. Money, relationships, cars, work, and other things. I dont think anyone I know gets up and asks... how does society demasculate men who are in wheelchairs and how does it thrust gender roles on those who are affectively gender neutral? I dont ask that question and I really doubt any of my loyal readers do.
So why is the government spending money on it? It seems a pretty pointless thing for the government to be studying in my opinion. So I want my tax money back. And anyone who agrees with me should as well. Let my proffessor find funds in the private sector. I am assuming that he has used public funds and funding from Illinois State University. My taxes support ISU so I feel that I am entitled to question it.
