Yesterday I did some amazing things:

1) Interviewed Interpol on the air. It was like squeezing blood from a stone to get Paul to talk to me, but that's okay. It was the first time I had ever done an on-air interview, and it was tons of fun. I think I came up with some good questions, and they sounded great in the studio.

2) Went out for japanese food and got to sit in the private room in the restaurant. We were surrounded by candles and sitting on cusions while everyone ordered sushi, and I had a vegetable plate, because I'm not down with fish - raw or otherwise.

3) Saw Interpol and The Secret Machines in concert, and noticed in the unkind light of the bathroom that I have a zit the size of Texas on my right cheekbone. But that didn't prevent me from making out with my boyfriend between shaking my groove thing to Interpol's music.

4) Spent forty five minutes after the show in the local sex toy emporium. Started getting cranky because my feet were going to fall off. It was fun standing there and debating picking up the iRabbit, but not having $100 of liquid funds to drop on a vibrator, no matter how fucking incredible it's supposed to be.

5) Read some more trash essays ("Autobiography of a Fat Bride: True Tales of Pretend Adulthood") until 2am when I promptly fell asleep on the couch, and the boyfriend fell asleep in his computer chair and he drooled in his beard as I drooled all over the chenille pillow.

++++++++

It's been cold here the past couple of days and that's amazing. We went and looked at houses on Friday night, after I took a half day off of work and spent the afternoon at the library and at home reading. I wanted to be home, on my couch, reading a book and chilling out. Which is kind of a good thing, and kind of not. The hat I am knitting for a friend of mine is still in the early stages, and I really need to work on that to get it done in time for Christmas.

I am excited to go vote in a little over two weeks, as well. I always get excited about voting, and this time, I am super stoked to go to the polls and push the button for John Kerry, Eric Fingerhut, and others as well. I want Deborah Pryce out of office more than I want more vegetables for lunch.

And vegetables are some of my favorite food in the world.

1. Your immediate boss is the Music Director, right? I can imagine the grief you got for wanting to drop some hours - especially if you're daily talent. (Which slot are you? Mid-day?)

2. Which station do you work for?

3. The first time Interpol came into my station Daniel did *all* of the talking, and that wasn't much. Blood from a stone, indeed.

4. 'Grats on finishing your Potter scarf.

I think the next big package I'll receive in the mail will be my pipe tobacco, not quite as nice as a puppy or exotic jewels but at least better than BILLS BILLS BILLS CREDIT CARD OFFER FOR MORE BILLS
