I liked Serenity. A lot. It wasn't QUITE as gritty as the series, and a lot more polished (and a LOT more special effects) but I still enjoyed it.

My only comment was how everyone seems to have picked up martial arts skills since the Firefly series ended.

I just bought the entire first season of Battlestar Galactica on DVD. What did you think of it?

I love BSG. I'm torn on whether I like the split seasons. On the one hand, it's nice to have it spread out. On the other hand, it's hard to wait several months for the next half of the season. Apollo is adorable and Starbuck is hot. The writing is great, the stories are thought-provoking. The season 1 finale had me wound tight from the second it started to the second it ended. My only real beef with the show is their penchant for cliffhangers. Arrrrgh.
