My girlfriend is playing a solo acoustic show next week. We were hanging out at a local show when then club owner just walked up and said "I heard you play and sing beautifully..." and talked about this all woman show she's going to have. Apparently when people heard about it they kept telling the club owner they had to have my gal play because of how great her music is.
Her music is great, but because it's so personal, she doesn't play much she is usually content playing in other peoples bands... The club owner begged, gave us a free bar tab and admission to the show that night and what ever we wanted till she finally said yes. We spent the weekend going over her songs she has recorded and I played bass with her for encouragement. In proud of her. I love the spotlight buy I also love it when the person in with is awesome too. Saturday should be a hell of a night.
