We just got back from the hospital and he's doing a lot better. He opened his eyes yesterday and is looking around and responding to commands. He sees people in the room and definitely knows what you're talking about. He still has his breathing tube to help him out but he's off the respirator and breathing on his own. They'll take that out in a couple days with any luck and he'll be able to talk to us. He grins when they guys are telling jokes and he seems glad to have visitors so hopefully we're not annoying him too much.

The Devon Get Better fund is collecting quite well thanks to all his friends and local bands and bars donating their time and profits for him. The positive response has been just amazing. He's going to be just blown away by the amount of people coming out of the woodwork to support him. Thanks to all of you on here for your well wishes and donations. I think it will mean a lot to him. Mr_Reliable and I bought him a laptop so he can send emails to all his friends and familly from the hospital and watch movies. Message me if you have any questions or want to send him a message.



I guess it's time for a real "Taye" update since I haven't done that in ages! In case you were wondering, yes I did audition for the tour and I still haven't heard if I'm on it or not. I'm guessing not but you never know. They have already told most of the girls who weren't invited that they're not going so it's still a possibility. Mostly I just want to do costumes for the show which was my main motivation for auditioning. I think it would be awesome to be on the road but the reality is it's hard to give up a $36/hour job for it and to be away from home for 4 months. I'm not 23 anymore and I have to keep reminding myself of that! whatever

Speaking of that crappy job, I hate it more than ever which is another reason I think I auditioned! It doesn't have much to do with the fashion industry and I really want to get back to designing. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out a way to start up my company again and still be able to pay the bills. Anyone know any rich investors who want to be part of the fashion industry for the mere price of a measly designer's salary? biggrin I'd even take a pay cut. wink Seriously, finding investors is like trying to find gold in the gutters of Oakland. I'm just not good at schmoozing. Maybe if I lived in LA it would be easier. At least I could participate in more fashion events.

I'm re-launching my website this week. Hopefully I'll have it up by Wednesday. In case you didn't book mark it (do it now!) the URL is www.tayeloremade.com. The shopping cart won't be active yet but I'll have that up sometime in the next few weeks as well. I am hoping to have it all done and live by the time my next set goes up at least because I'm wearing another one of my designs in that one too. I'm really looking forward to that set because it's cute and Sawa shot it so you know it's good photography.

I still have a shit ton of photos that I failed to upload after my trip down to LA for the Bangkok 5 video shoot so I've put them in my Me and SG's folder for you to look at. Here's a sample pic that I just love of the ever sexy Amina... check out the dude in the background!! Too funny.


I suppose that's it for now. It's 11:00pm and I'm tired and heading off to bed. The 9-5 thing really sucks man! I'm definitely not a morning person. skull
