Just got a letter in the mail from a dear friend. It basically said "last time I saw you I could tell that you are really in an emotionally fragile state. For your own sake and those around you who love you don't drink. Go back to being sober..."
I'm paraphrasing, but that was the gist of it....
Man, it's nice to know people really care in this world....I'm really touched and know I have to stop, especially now. I'm not a prude mind you. I have no problem with others who drink, I just shouldn't because I'm a terrible alcoholic.
So how's that for brutal honesty?

It's always better to deal with issues while sober. It's good that you admit you have a problem, because they say that's the first step. Good luck, and you have my support!

drinkings overrated anyway. there's a million other fun things out there to occupy your time. and besides, you can't drink and get tattooed! you can do it man, you're better than the bottle.
