"I am commited to creating caring experiences...every person, everytime"

No I'm not crazy, thats the Ramada Worldwide pledge i had to take last night at training. It's like being part of a secret society without all the perks!

So the training session wasn't too bad, but was more like a team building exercise, there were sweets and a cuddly toy for the person who did...

Yay finished my exams for this educational year, to celebrate I went into the city and had a cinnamon latte and a raspberry and white chocolate muffin. Pete has decided that I shouldn't answer the phone any more after I told him my room service story from last night:

Phone rings
me: good evening room service, Jeni speaking how can I help you?
caller: hi I'd like to order some food
me: ok, now is this Mr Willis in room 63?
caller: wow you're on the ball!
me: (serious voice) well it...

If you can't talk nonsense on the phone to customers at work when can you talk nonsense? Espcially as the number of friendly customers in the world seems to be shrinking daily, make hay why the sun shines I say.
fry:
Yeah, it's all sorted thanks.

I get like that when I spot a word the reminds me of something else. Start talking to people like they have all the same reference material floating around their head that I do. It gets me some odd looks.

My exam went ok I think, I had a go at every question and there were questions in there that we hadn't been taught which is an ol' AAT trick, bastards!

Random news: I won jelly and icecream from a chef...

best of luck on the exams hun smile

Wine makes me do bad things surreal Hope you enjoy it, you've waited long enough for it! I've always wanted to try a dragon fruit but i never knew how to eat it! Does that sound weird? I once bought a sharon fruit then realised i didn't have a bloody clue what to do with it. I saw a recipe on tastespotting.com for dragon fruit jelly which looked really yummy. Maybe you should give that a bash. I'll hunt down the link for you.

PS i'll keep my fingers crossed for you! biggrin

I'm so excited about going to London that I've been looking on the viator website looking at tours and things to do in London other than the typical things I mentioned last week. So far I've found:

Jack the Ripper ghosty night tour
Hard Rock cafe vip entry where we get lunch, a visit in the vault and get a pic of us with our...

Ok new holiday plan:

Rome is out for now as we've left it too late in money terms, so we'll go another year and hire a villa and a car and maybe invite my mum to coe with us.

Because of the ticket winning from yesterday we've decided that we're going to spend a few days in London and do a bunch of touristy stuff:...

I've been having a think over the past week and for now i'm staying in the job. I would love to pack it in but then realistically thinking i've got a house here and i can't afford to move for another job which i would definitely have to do......kinda sucks.

Sooo, thats a bit of a bummer bout Rome but hey London's the next best thing biggrin I've never done the touristy thing when i've been there. I'm usually running around all the fabric shops like a crazy woman. Been to the V&A which is amazing and also the Tate, not Tate modern though. You should go to madame t'ssauds but be prepared for the 25 ticket !!

oh and you left out the number one tourist attraction according to my friend.........Topshop oxford circus! tongue
