I have now finished Big moth & ugly girl but Joyce Carol Oates, it was quite good.
It's about an american high school that receives a bomb threat supposedly from one of its best and most popular students, it tells the story of how his friends turn against him and how a rumour can spiral out of control from something that was meant as a joke. One girl though stands alone, she's a bit of a loner, feared and respected by the other students, doesn't care what others think but hates the way the rumour builds against the innocent boy. She testifies that he's innocent and the story goes on about their developing friendship and how even someone who is innocent can be mentally and physically punished just because of a bad word from another person.
Ok the review didn't make sense but it was interesting to read, took me less than 3 hours, kinda childish in the way it been written and the characters (especially the girl) talk about themselves as the third party or using their nicknames.
Been to college, this was my last class of revising and I have my exam next week, oh no!
