More random moments from the hotel, I think I'm actually going to miss these when I leave!
So my girls and I have been working really hard and now everyone has left the restaurant and so now is the time that we can tidy up and relay the restaurant as quickly and as noisily as we want, but they're flagging and one of them has gone into the kitchen and is making pancakes with the crazy chef whose leaving soon. So I'm feb up and need a time out and so i go and sit behind reception and am chatting away to Claire one of the receptionists who has her head down and is counting - so actually I was probably putting her off, oh well. Anyway a lady comes in the door looking grumpy and tired (it was after 10pm) and I see her but Claire doesn't so I stares straight at her with a giant smile on my face and eventually she looks at me and get s a big smile on her face!
She walks up to my section of the counter and says "Hi, I'd like to check in please, my name is _____"
Me "ok let me introduce you to Claire" (talking to Claire) "This is ______ and she'd like to check in please"
Claire "of course madame" starts tapping on the computer
The woman is obviously confused, i mean why am I sitting there at reception, if I'm not a receptionist?! I think oh shit and so say.
Me "yes sorry I can't check you in because I'm a fake receptionist and I'm just paid to smile at people!" yup thats what I said word for word and obviously this can go one of two ways, luckily the woman replied -
Woman "ah well isn't that nice, its great to get a smile when you first enter the building!"
phew!
After that I promptly left to go back to the restaurant and found my girls still making bloody pancakes.

i would, but im super shit on the phone...i have really bad social anxiety so im pretty much useless wih stuff like that
