Yay finished my exams for this educational year, to celebrate I went into the city and had a cinnamon latte and a raspberry and white chocolate muffin. I also brought myself 3 books, 2 by japanese authors and a comice one called gods behaving badly. I'm not sure when I'm going to read them though because I'm still savouring Perfume and I've got my 4000 word project to do in the next 6 weeks.

Sunday I've given to Pete as I feel I've been neglecting him recently, so I've said that we can do whatever he wants, so if its sunny we might go to the beach or we might have a day in bed watching movies, who knows!!!

Oh so I said that I'm reading Perfume and I adore it. Recently I've been reading books that have been made in to films and ones that touch your senses. I first read chocolat and when I saw the cover in the video shop years ago I was like hmm i'm never going to watch that because I love chocolate and on some level I thought it would ruin it. but then I took the plunge after seeing the original cover and I'm so glad I did, I could like taste each piece of chocolate that she made and it was wonderful! Its the same with Perfume I can almost smell everything the character is describing and I LOVE books like this and I think they are going to be ones that I read over and over again just for the sensory buzz!

Whats everyone else doing at the weekend?

fry:
House Of Leaves by Mark Danielewski and The End Of Mr Y by Scarlett Thomas. Both recommended in the what are you reading thread. Who said soft porn sites weren't useful? wink
