Well, my weekend was pretty quiet, as expected. Sunday was nice. Went for a walk through Green Park and St James' with SuicideDoggie and Rainwolfkin. Ooohed and ahhhed at the squirrels lots then walked up to Horse Guards Parade to see the horses but sadly they werent on duty so we ended up in The Maple Leaf for beers and nibbles Canadian style. Although they had the bloody football on which was a bit of a disappointment.

I decided to walk home as it was a nice evening and I have one of the nicest walks home in London, across the newly re-built Hungerford Bridge. The bridge used to be situated on the western side of Waterloo Bridge, adjacent to the Houses of Parliament but it's been moved to the East side now and gives you an awesome view of old London, from St Pauls Cathedral on the top of Ludgate Hill all the way to the Savoy Hotel. I fall in love with the city all over again whenever I see that view. Having David Bowie's Absolute Beginners playing on my headphones at the same time just made it even better.

So, Monday has arrived. Boo, hiss. mad I was strolling across Leicester Square at 8am this morning on my way to the office and passed possibly the biggest cinema queue I have ever seen, certainly at that time of day anyway. I hadnt realised that Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fans were quite that obsessive and judging by the geek quotient of the crowd there's not a single comic book shop open in Greater London today at all. Some of them had sleeping bags so I can only assume they had been there all night.

Now despite the fact that I am a member of the Uber Geek Brigade I can think of several places that I would rather be on a rainy Monday morning than sitting on a pavement in Central London, shivering and wet. Curled up under my duvet fast asleep tops the list. biggrin

And finally...in SG related news, Missshelley is back in the pink after her week away so expect much silliness between the two of us. tongue

And new buddy corriander love is currently nursing his brain coral cos it's sick. Go say hi to him and tell him how gorgeous he is to cheer him up. wink kiss biggrin
