wow, both of todays sets are awesome!
Well, Queenmab WAS able to make it to my house, but not until after the SGB show. But I did get to shoot a set of her(and do her makeup!). We posted it in PSW, and most of you may have seen it. It turned out cute, I think.
On monday we wandered up to a place my friend had called, the haunted forest. I thought he had told me that there used to be the remains of a servants quarters. But when we got there, it was just a concrete staircase, leading to bushes and trees. There was a copper pipe sticking up out of the ground, and a stone wall, but other than that it was just overgrown brush. It wasn't until I got home that my husband told me what had really been there. Apparently there was a plaque on the gates at the entrance that tells all about it, but we missed it(haha stoners). It used to be a small medical facility dealing in the therapy of the criminally insane. It apparently burned down in the 60's, and it was gutted, and the land was never used again.
From the entrance there is a road that leads up to the remains of the hospital. it's set back in the hills, surrounded by trees, and a canyon. When we got there, we were fairly unimpressed. Since we didn't see the plaque, and therefore didn't really know what we were visiting. It wasn't an uneasy or unpleasant feeling. Given that it was the middle of the day, and there were a lot of people walking with their dogs so we weren't really alone. But it did feel a little off. Hard to explain. I'd like to go back again eventually.
We did take some pics. Which I will now post for your viewing pleasure.
