I met this kick ass guy, he introduced me to some pretty cool music that I had never heard before. I've seen what the rockabilly folks look like, but the only music I've ever heard that was classified as rockabilly were the stray cats. He had me listen to Janis Martin, big sandy and his fly rite boys, and a few others, and I tell you, I loved it! I love being introduced to new music(new to me that is)! I like broadenning my musical horizon. I'm not a music snob at all. I'll give anything a try and I don't like to talk to much shit on music that I don't like, given that it isn't manufactured...and while I hate the manufactured boy band, and pop princess sound, I still understand why it exists, no matter how badly I wish it would go away.
Anyone have a band or a musician that they love and would like to introduce me too, please feel free.

Since you responded to my jounral I thought I should return the favor
Anyway, I just so happen to be a fan of modern roackabilly music so I might be able to give you a hand. Check out The Reverend Horton Heat for one, he's utterly amazing. Also, for a more country side of things, do check out Hank Williams III and Wayne Hancock. They're a bit more classic country, but they've got the good ol Punk attitude to them.
