Fugazi are a regular staple here! I used to live down the street from where they always played for free at Fort Reno. They were really, really active during both Bush eras and had very confrontational, smart and funny shit to say about his presidency and the war. It was always like an act of protest being at their shows, familiar local activists are always present and often speak between sets. They use music to get a good message out. It's respectable. It gives me a lot of sense that punk is about community and involvement than it is simply about rebellion and disestablishment.
