I may finally be a homeowner after this month, since I made my final decision on a house and told my real estate agent to start negotiations.The place is out in Mount Rainier... it's a big three-bedroom with a huge attic, monstrous yard and spacious rooms.
I looked at a couple houses in D.C. today that I also liked a great deal... it was a tough decision. Buying a house is a big step. It's something I have wanted to do for years now and finally now here it is. No more landlords or fuckehead housemates, just me, my cats and my studio.
I can start a vegetable garden and live off the land. I can rent my studio and be a career musician. I can throw parties and get loud as fuck without the neighbors hearing and smelling shit through the walls and calling the cops (DETACHED UNIT, BABY!).
With any luck, I'll be celebrating my 29th birthday in a new house all of my own!
