I am counting down the days to the most wonderful trip I could ever imagine. (40)
My roommate, his friend from home, and I are heading to Germany, France, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands for a month on May the 4th.
We are all signed up on couchsurfing.com, and just started sending out requests for couches all over the place yesterday, including strasbourg, paris, luxembourg city, brussels, berlin, frankfurt (just for our last night, to catch the plane more easily). Already got one Yes back from a girl in Amsterdam for 2 nights near the end of our trip. Awesome!
Sadly we have also gotten one maybe, probably no (because of exams) and one no, because of travel. Luckily neither of them were people we really wanted to stay with, but were rather part of our realization that begger's cannot always be choosers, and we should hedge our bets with many requests.
We are going to see some great shows, including Broken Social Scene and Battles, as well as hopefully seeing the Berlin Philharmonic (one of the best symphonic orchestra's in the world!!!!)(really expensive), and hopefully meeting some great new people, and sharing stories, and not having the typical trip to Europe. Oh look... there's the Eiffel Tower... again.
Also, we are going to see our friend James, who has been living in Strasbourg for the last 7 months, which is really exciting. We are also planning on meeting a friend of a friend, and a parisien we know who lives here in New Brunswick for the time being, but will be back in France for most of may (before embarking to Africa).
I wish that the trip last tomorrow, and not 6 weeks from now, but the wait will make it so much better when it comes.

Yeah so I'm getting ready to go out but I'm doing really well playing Halo...so maybe not...ugh. Cannot decide. Anyway sorry for the music begging but you're my hero right now and I am attached. Don't hate me.
