If you live on the East Coast of the USA you might want to go see L'Hermione. She is a full-sized, 18th century French Navy frigate that just made landfall in Virginia after crossing the Atlantic. She is crewed by volunteers (including a friend who did it in period clothes.) I'm going to pay my respects in Alexandria in four days and hopefully get a tour. All the details are here.
