I was going to relate my weekend events until I got sidetracked by vermin.
ModCom's 2-day self-driven tour was fun but exhausting. The Eames House was by far the highlight, although we weren't allowed access to the interior. The Museum of Neon Art was also an experience; I can't believe I had never been before. What else?The Neutra VDL Research House II was kinda run down. They give free tours every Sunday by appointment, so waiting in a 45-minute line wasn't worth it. Especially considering we weren't even allowed to the Penthouse level, which is the only thing worth seeing because of the reflecting pool. All in all, I'm glad I did it. I wound up seeing plenty of architectural sites I may have never visited otherwise. I will post pictures soon...
Tonight was a preview screening of The Motorcycle Diaries. Did you know Che was asthmatic? I didn't!

I bought the $26 calender that they were selling for LACMA. I figure it's the only way I'll ever be able to buy a Shulman print.

The highlight for me was actually the tour of the Mutual Housing Association home. I loved the absolute simplicity of it.
