Saturday morning, went on a walking tour of Spring Street here in Los Angeles. Such beautiful buildings; so heartbreaking. The highlight for me was the Crocker Bank Vault. The actual vault is breathtaking: so heavy and noirish. Saturday night, saw Cisco Pike and The Outside Man as part of the L.A. Site Unseen series. All in all, a very L.A. weekend. Well, not very L.A., but very about L.A. L.A. of the past, anyway. Watched Stranger than Paradise again. About to watch the commentary on Fishing with John. Seems to me to be a very John Lurie week as well.
