We learn things as we move in space and time.

Sometimes the lessons are small, small as the movements are big.

Sometimes you go clear cross country to learn the smallest things.

Sometimes you wake up in the sky instead of in the mountains to a new reality that's colored only by the slightest of shifts.

Sometimes that matters.

Sometimes, it's only afterbirth of a dream.

The walks cross town from Times Square are good.

It's hot. The sweat by the time I get to the UES is nice and salty. "It is the good salt." I fish for marlin tonight and dream of lions on the beaches of Africa.

We all hope I don't blow my brains out in Ketchum, Idaho.

They welcomed me back to the office Tuesday morning by keeping me at work till Wednesday morning, then inviting me back after a shower to stay until Thursday morning.

After sending me out for porridge and turning me back into a temporary smoker, they requested the pleasure of my company until an hour before this entry.

Taking off a suit and putting on the double knit of my favorite number 7 jersey is a great feeling. Polyster gets a bad rap from those whose couture does not favor the colors blue and orange.

It pleases me to have my teachers from 8 years ago remember me and be pleased to write my recommendations. Pleased me more to know one teacher uses my senior paper in a class from time to time.

Write what you know he said in theology. He got "the Church of Baseball, the American Voodoo". I read it today, I still like it.

I think Elisha Cuthbert is a doll and am getting that right on the table.

Those who watch baseball and do not understand why everything right in the world is present in Jose Reyes are folks I have no use for.

Take your A-Job, Pay-Rod, Odd-Job, I'll take the Passion of The Reyes, another 100-loss season and a firm belief that the best is yet to come.

It's ugly now in so many ways, but stars are alligning quietly, and I can roll with punches better right now a bit better than I could before.

Thank god for high holy days next week. Unless my bosses leave work for the infidels while they are off getting right with Yahweh.

Friday is a high holy day for me. Ryder Cup, Day 1.

Cannot wait to tell them that Mabon is a day of religious observation.

I'll give them a nice Samhein card.

Maybe Saturnalia would be pressing my luck.

Seriously though, they know Title VII. . . if I say I worship the Gods of Olympus and must repair to a mystery cult, would they tell me that I am not authentic in my religious observation and needs?

Hmmm.

Singing "Like a steam locomotive, rolling down the strack, he's gone, gone and lord he ain't coming back" with a smile makes me feel good.

'Dance on, Gypsy Queen, the stars shine down on you, everythings all right.'

My head is alive, and buzzing and a good place to be.

When I drink tomorrow night at the Dirty 30 party, and I will drink, there will be some serious frolicking.

I will wear my straw hat.

And my rose colored glasses.

And my very best Pucci tie.

The one all the folks love to hate.

See, nothing big, but everything is cool.

if there is one person you can't stop thinking about, put this sentence in your journal.

JPK out for now.

Beautiful words, once again, Trashy-baby...*giggle* oh, and *cough* 'junior will win at richmond' *cough* Who said that? wink

Such delicious, stream-of-consciousness "riffing." You've got the gift, my man. smile

(First the "Do-wop", THEN the Dylan.) wink

Stop by any time.
