Oh, the farmers and the businessmen, they all did decide
To show you the dead angels that they used to hide.
But why did they pick you to sympathize with their side?
Oh, how could they ever mistake you?
They wished you'd accepted the blame for the farm,
But with the sea at your feet and the phony false alarm,
And with the child of a hoodlum wrapped up in your arms,
How could they ever, ever persuade you?
Sad-eyed lady of the lowlands,
Where the sad-eyed prophet says that no man comes,
My warehouse eyes, my Arabian drums,
Should I leave them by your gate,
Or, sad-eyed lady, should I wait?
~~~~DD~~~~~~
Mmm, sometimes it all feels really close, very close to happening, close to quickening. Sometimes I feel the start of something inside me, something new and something wild. And I know it's real, and yet it feels like it's a long way off. I would so like to see where I'm headed, but seems I'm convinced that it isn't some rough beast slouching towards Bethlehem right now. It's something fierce and nascent, and bound to change the stars. I'm nervous and maybe it's just cause I'm finally here.
I'm a little surprised you haven't mentioned last night's Duke loss. Or are you just being sweet with all the other crap I'm dealing with?
catiedid:
Karma or no karma, there will be no loss at Cameron. All I got left is talkin' trash with Trash!!
