"Einstein, disguised as Robin Hood
With his memories in a trunk
Passed this way an hour ago
With his friend, a jealous monk
He looked so immaculately frightful
As he bummed a cigarette
Then he went off sniffing drainpipes
And reciting the alphabet
Now you would not think to look at him
But he was famous long ago
For playing the electric violin
On Desolation Row"

~~~~Daily Dylan~~~~
I got to the office today, sat down at 9:30 and took maybe a total of five minutes away from my desk all day. I pounded and pounded and still I have a good 6 hours to do tonight. Man.
Every sound made me jump today, just shook me up. I have got to shake this high-strung vibe I've been living with for the last few weeks. At least I'm up and doing things again. Last week I was laid up and locked down but was still racing inside. Right now I got a foot back in the pool, and hey, that's not a bad thing. It's only some days that you can jump in with both feet. Maybe I'll be wading by Wednesday! Oh man, I so don't want to synthesize the two documents I have written. It's just gonna be a lot of trouble! I'm not sure I'm even thinking with much creative juice right now so I imagine that none of this work will be A Grade. I guess I can just bluff it and hope. I guess it's like looking at Amen Corner on Masters' Sunday. You just got to lock and load and swing out of your shoes. Maybe it goes in Rae's Creek, maybe it kicks onto the green, but I do believe that not swinging is the only way to assure yourself of not finding the green. OK, I see the allure, at least the rhetorical allure of the converse -- that dropping the bag and walking off the course is a good way to avoid getting wet too. And there really is no good answer for it, its true. I guess you just got to believe that the one time you stick it stiff 18 inches from the hole will make up for all those hours wading into the ponds you shanked into. Golf is a sexy game.
Yeah BABY!
YAY for work accomplishments. Sometimes the validation of completion is enough to keep us going for another day. At least it makes the hours on the job not feel like a bottomless nothingness. All ready for the 500 with the moonpies...how excellent. I've got my Budweiser ready as well (especially considering that Indiana prohibits buying alcohol on Sunday's, which means we just buy more during the week)...I've got my money on Junior, being a re-stricter plate race, it will be him or Waltrip...Don't forget Thursday afternoon the Twin 125's...sounds like a good excuse to call in sick to me... smile
Fear not, Cubs fan here! My heart belongs in the Midwest.
I hope you had a good day today.
