Today, from a chance meeting while at work, I found out my one of my high school girl friends, her sister, and kid were murdered last month by her (my ex girl friends) husband. I haven't really talked to her in few years, mainly because the guy she married was not real understanding about our friendship and I didn't want to be the cause of any problems between them. At this point, I don't know how to feel about this.

loss is a hard slap in the face that we are not in control of our destiny.
