Two firsts for me today.
1. I got hear my daughter swear today. I took her and one of her friends to an area mall and gave her some money to buy some pants she wanted from Hot Topics (give her a break, she's 12, plus one of my clients is a district manager, so I got discount cards for her). I'm waiting at a CD store when I see her come running in with tears streaming and this really horrible look on her face. She is so upset that about the only thing I can understand her saying is "some fucking bitch at Hot Topics...". Then her friend and some other girl come up and tell me one of the clerks at HT took it upon herself to humilate my kid in front of the entire store and told her to get the hell out.
While shifting into paternal protection mode and resisting the urge to go to the sporting goods store and grab a baseball bat to go bash this punk bitches head in, I instead go to life first number 2: Publicly humiliating a smart ass, sullen clerk then getting her fired. It's amazing how fast a pseudo-hardass brat turns into a cowering kiss ass when confronted by a super pissed off parent and then visit from her even more pissed off district manager.
Hey, I know my kid and know she would of done nothing to deserve the type of treatment she got.
