These fires on the west coast are starting to hit home. Two days ago my cousin's and his wife's house was destroyed along with most of the surrounding homes. They stayed as long as they could then were ordered out of the area. It is really horrible. They have only lived there a little less than a year and they have pretty much lost everything. I also have some other friends and relatives around Simi and San Diego that I haven't been able to get in contact with for the last week; land lines, cells, or email.
