Today I did the BIG 5th Ave Auditions I have been gearing up for for a month and a half. To prepare I took dance class almost everyday, when I didn't have a show.. and even hired the world's lamest excuse for a voice coach to help me run my audition material. (She was awful, seriously.. I think SHE spent more time singing than I did and she couldn't read music or play the piano!)
I am so stoked, I feel like they went really well and I did WAY better than I did 4 years ago when I almost gave up and ran out it was so HARD!
I made it through nearly 4 hours of hardcore high energy ballet, jazz and modern combinations. I am so excited!
I hope I get to go to call backs for the shows.. they are doing two of my absolute favorite shows this season, Cabaret and Into the Woods.
Next week I sing for them on Weds afternoon for principle roles and the vocal ensemble.
And yesterday I finally got my Wii game system! Whoo hoo.. but it came with a price.
My little pug got so excited when my friend delivered it to me from the Nintendo Headquarters last night she fell off the couch flipped over backwards and smacked her little head & EYEBALL on my wooden coatrack..
It was SO SAD. I rushed her out to the vet tonight after I got home from Seattle and got her all checked out. So apparently her fucking eyeball could have popped out of her head! But thank heavens, it didn't happen. we didnt lose her little bugged out eye and she seems to be doing ok, despite having a minor concussion. What the fuck? Poor little girl!
Am I the Patron Saint of Injured Animals this Spring, or what?
And still no sign of Mr. Turtle!
