hurrah for surviving another week at work. Was a bit stressed this week, just about money . started freaking out thinking what if i dont have enough money for my trip, i know i can always postpone and just change the date of my flight, but if i miss soulclipse i think i would be dissapointed. On the other hand a friend made a very good point and said why are you travelling to the other side of the world, to waste a week at a week long party for the solar eclipse.. Which is a very good question, because its a whole week i could be out n about seeing places rather than being stuck in one spot.. but oh well it will be great fun when im there and the solar eclipse is going to be amazing, maybe even life changing!!
So have just been feeling sick, and waking up during the night feeling really sick, because of worry about money.. so im just trying to not go out and not waste/spend any money.. its hard.. but i gotta be strong! resist temptation.
Tonight i have a hot date with Tahliana on msn. We are discussing Greek Islands, because after turkey, we are going to go see maybe 2 or 3 greek islands for 7 days then go to amsterdam. so tonight we will decide what islands we want to go to & how we gunna get there.
Did you know it is IMPOSSIBLE to hire a campervan in Turkey? the campervan places there only hire out their vans for work reasons, and to film crews not for holidays. I have asked a few friends i talk to in Turkey to find a place and everyone they ring says the same thing, also travel agents have said they cant find anything either .. That is so annoying, why cant they just take our money and let us use a van, AND why is all of the campervans places in Turkey like that - like hello come on, there must be at least one somewhere that rents out campervans for ppl that want to travel around.
ahh it makes me so angry because im going to be 2 hours drive away from the nearest town, in Turkey, so i will have to have a fair bit of money on me, also my passport, and digital camera and valuables, i wanted to be able to lock them up in a car so that they cant get stolen, because unfortunatly at these bigger european festy's, some guys just will go through your tent or even just come up to your campsite and make you give them your money and valuables... my friend had money and her camera stolen last year, it sucked. So i duno what we are going to do, i suppose we just will buy a big enough tent for all of us to sleep in, while we are in turkey and then probably give it away after the party, but see then i have issues, cus i wont just sleep on the ground - its going to be like only 15 degrees in the daytime, so night is going to be cold, i can take my airmatteress from home, even tho its bulky, it would be worth bringing it, and my sleeping bag, and i suppose i can find a cheap pillow there. *sigh*
Also, (and this is my mums influence here) it is a big event, its a solar eclipse, ppl travel from around the world to experience it, there isnt just going to be our festival, im sure there will be lots and lots of festivals and parties going on in all of the main towns, even already 6 months before alot of hotels etc have booked out.. So there will be a lot of westerners there, and with the state of the world at the moment, and even the PKK in Turkey they stopped their "ceasefire" at the beg of this year (i think, maybe last year) so, its a bit of a risk for bombs and stuff.. not saying its going to happen, but i think its good to be prepared, especially when we are in country that boreders Iraq, and a country which has had many bombs and attacks before.
If something did happen, i wouldnt want to worry about how the fuck im going to get out of the area, or having to rely on someone else, id want to be able to just grab my friends and jump in the car/campervan and just go.
so i should probably stop ranting about that, it just is really annoying, and for a festival for 6 days in a foreign country, i just want to be prepared,
