She's began sleeping on the couch again. She was finding comfort in that bed, but that comfort seems to come in flights.

After the painful chiming of 'wedding bells' a few weeks ago, she participated in that 'ceremonial cleansing' that scorned lovers often do... ridding oneself of any remnants of what was. She opted to burn the shit. Pictures, letters, cute lil notes, the book of letters she had written him during their... whatever it was.

She had always wondered if that 'cleansing' ever REALLY helped, realistically, it doesnt really change all that much. While 2 yrs of memories turn to ash, she did feel a little silly... as if she should be dancing in circles & chanting something. But thats all she felt, no attachment to the smoldering heap, no regret over this irrational move. Realizing that did, ultmately, make her feel better.. maybe thats how it works....


...in other news, she found herself a bit smitten the other night with a boy, a boy who over the course of a few days, has begun to resemble jesus in her head....
