Well I made it through my first Jobless Day unscathed. I pretty much sat at home and surfed for other employment opportunities, and actually landed an interview for later today. Later in the evening the "tribute" calls started coming in from members of my beloved staff, a little upset that the only person who seemed to give a shit about them had been sent packing. And I don't blame them. Oh, and I made myself a lovely pasta dish for din-din and opened a nice bottle of pinot noir. By the time I hit the sack, and finished a book I'd been trying to finish (lots of time to read now), my wine bottle was empty and I was happily sleepy. Not a bad day, or a bad way to get into the next phase of my existence. Yes, another door is openinig. Let's see how much unemployment there's going to be so we'll know just how long we can be jobless.
Many sincere thanks to Oki for her kind and encouraging words. What a sweet lady she is.

I'll take a nice bottle of wine any day. Good luck on the job search and enjoy the time off. Except for us teachers, who ever gets chunks of time off to lay around?
