So I'll make a long story short. One of my cats has been diagnosed diabetic. Crazy? Yes. Common? I guess yes also. But I hadn't really thought of it. I mean I know it's a huge epidemic here in Fat America, the whole diabetes thing. But cats? Okay, he is older, 12yo, and a bit rotund (he's a bit lovable orange tabby, what's not to love). So he started acting all weird out of the blue a couple weeks ago, and I watched him figuring he'd snap out of it, which he didn't. So last week was spent at the vets ("spent" as in time *and* money) getting it all figured out. And Tuesday, we start injecting him with insulin. We being me. Twice a day.....so I've been a bit preoccupied. But we're gonna be okay, really.

The new job continues to kick my ass. Although at times Yours Truly is kicking some major ass of his own (not his own ass....you understand, right?).

Girls? Okay, tonight I did meet someone for the first time that I'd picked from the catalogue (www.nerve.com). Fun meet up, we shall see if it can translate to normalcy. It's touch and go sometimes. I wish it weren't that way.
