out the window yesterday was a monarch butterfly dining on the milkweed and echinacea planted on the sunny side...seemed to be doing an awful lot of flying and little eating. maybe the bumblebees got most of the good stuff...then today one those fleabag fucker squirrels was resting in a crotch of the elm in front of the porch, the one that shades this room in the afternoon. no running hell bent for tree nuts up the roof, into the attic and around looking for a lady squirrel to harass with his tales of tree nut gathering prowess, or the one about that time he didn't come to ground for THREE WEEKS the trees were so thick up by the park dontcha know before, you know, the beetle disease and all...
