oh thank god.

nobody won my retirement lottery last night (forgot to buy a ticket), so now when i win on wednesday, there will be that much more to share biggrin

and yes, you are invited to the bill-burning party kiss

this is life right now: working then working some more, then fantasizing about not working. work is enjoyable, there's not a day i come home without a sense that the world is a marginally more informed, slightly more healthful, aware and lighter place to be. it's just that coming home from work every day for the last three months gets to be a bit of a grind. so yay for next weekend and memorial day mondays smile
dylan:
Fantasising about not working is how I get myself through the working day. If only I could take that energy and use it to propel me into studying hard to achieve something that could get me into a job where I spend my time not working fantasising about being at work. Or do jobs like that even exist? I reckon Attenborough's team are probably right up there in the best jobs ever, but there must be times when you've been standing in the freezing cold in the middle of the night in a cave full of bat shit crawling in beetles trying unsuccessfully to get that perfect shot of something you can't even see in the darkness that you wish you were in a nice cosy office with a hot beverage machine within arms reach and the ability to nap under your desk when your colleagues leave the room...right? Hmm.

What do you work as? " there's not a day i come home without a sense that the world is a marginally more informed, slightly more healthful, aware and lighter place to be" - this is a beautiful thing to be able to say.

Oops! I thought I had replied back when I got your message, apparently not...

I haven't really dealt with any machine shops outside of my local Red Rooster, so I don't know where's good & where's shady. Sorry I can't be of any more help frown
