an ex has been trying to set me up with a friend of hers, who is really cute, for the past several weeks, now... i looked through her webpage and thought she'd be way too cerebral to put up with the scruffy likes of me, but my ex thinks otherwise. oh, so i bring this up because i just got another email from my ex proposing another potential meet-up of the three of us. but every time she has put forth a date, it's on a day i cannot make it. i have tons of free time, so i'm starting to think that outside forces are conspiring to keep me away from this new lady... perhaps for my own good?

Nabokov's language is amazing for a native English speaker. Considering that his first language was Russian, truly shows waht a remarkable artist he was. Conrad was the same way. Most native English speaking writers could never manage what he produced in Heart of Darkness. Those guys were dope, yo!
