i did nothing but work today.

work, takora, work.

but i can't complain about that, as even when it's stressful i love my work. and i work from home, so how much better could it be? i even set the alarm to make sure i was up before 10am this morning, even though i didn't get to bed until after 5... oh, and the cute girl upstairs came by for two payments against her cat-sitting bill last night : ) ! but today i am tired. a stressful non-stop work day, and i am still supposed to go to a friend's birthday party tonight. everyone was supposed to meet at the bar downstairs and split cabs to wherever the place is, in red hook, i think, more than an hour ago. but they're all flakes and drunkards and haven't shown up yet. and i just feel like staying home and watching a movie... as seriously overdue as i am for a drag-down knock-back sick-fuck party, i'm just not in the mood for it tonight. but i guess one must take these things as they come. so maybe i will go. if the drunkards ever show up, because i have no idea how to get there.

and for all of you regular readers, who hang on every twist and turn of my life as recounted in these journals, you addicts to the world's lamest and most drama-less soap opera, THAT WOMAN did break her veil of silence today. she says she wants to meet up this weekend. and just when i thought i was about to get off of the roller-coaster...

and i was playing with The Cat today and got a pretty deep scratch that only missed my eyeball by 1/8"!

i am going to see one of my favorite bands for the first time tomorrow night, The Kings of Convenience, from Norway. check out their album 'quiet is the new loud.' they are playing in an old, dis-used synagogue.

so what am i gonna do now?
