so it's after 4am. I am listening to LOVE, always one of my favorites, but Ive been listening a lot more often lately, in anticipation of seeing HIM live for the first time next month... He just got outta jail! he is crazy. he is amazing. He is a genius... And I cannot remember the last time I was so excited to see a show...

i was a good boy, finished my work, and then went down to my local for a whiskey or two (that turned into five or six). maybe it's not necessarily a good thing living right upstairs from your favorite bar, especially when you have such a crush on one of the bartenders?
And why is it that so many of my good friends are women that i really want to taste so badly? all of the things that makes someone such a good friend just seems to invite and encourage that kind of attraction... but... ill have to write more on this later...
And K (my bartender crush) was there tonight, as was our mutual friend T. We made some plans to go see the Cronenberg retrospective that is now playing, and also finally finalized plans for one of our long-threatened movie parties! These have been talked about for almost a year. That should be really fucking fun, four or five friends, each bringing one of their favorite movies that none of the others has seen (and some beverages). And we all crash out with some drinks and watch each others favorite films all day! hopefully it will be an ongoing event, moving back and forth between our apartments. what could be better, other than K riding my face for a few hours........... ARRGH.
so, minus the time spent conspiring with the aforementioned friends, half of tonight was spent with a new book (The Torture Garden), sipping my whiskey (Scapa), and the rest of the evening was spent with a candle back-lighting my glass, just watching the ice in my glass melt...
