Siren was fun. I thought The Dears played a good set. Q and not U was cool too. My favorite act was definatly Saul Williams, but that is just because he is completely awesome.
We also saw the Coney Island Sideshow, which was pretty cool. Best fire eater I've ever see in person or on TV.
so, could you tell me the name that appeared on the check so i can bother these people about it?
also, don't worry about my money. aside from working here, my mom took out a loan for my tuition and it turns out we don't owe them. so expect to at least be mostly paid off by the end of the month.
Interesting. I posted something very similar on withoutabox.com re: a broad comparison of the two products. Apple is definitely innovating at an exponentially greater rate than Digi in this area, and especially as far as Macs are concerned. I think Digi essentially gave up on us a few years back so I'm through with them.
Good luck with the new gig. Back in the days of FCP 1.2 I, too, was a hard sell on FCP vs. Avid - though with good reason; 1.2 sucked! - but now FCP is a viable option for pro work and I agree that it should only get better, fingers crossed.
I am in the hunt for FCP Studio myself. Will probably buy the upgrade from 4.5 as soon as I can afford to, but wish I was using it now (mainly for the radically improved Soundtrack Pro).
I know you've been an Avid guy for a while. Are you switching teams, or just trying to stay up on everything? (I assume the latter - I do the same thing to the best of my abilities.)
