Sort of disappointed in the grammys last night. I know that it doesn't really mean all that much, but it would be nice if some lesser known bands got some attention. Last year the Flaming Lips won a grammy for Best Instrumental (which was the only thing they were nominated for), but didn't even get a mention on the show. I guess it happened during a commercial? This year, they again were nominated, this time for Best Alternative Album, which, unless I'm on crack (which could well be the case), wasn't mentioned on the show either.
Outkast did, in fact, deserve all the awards, but I was disappointed that the White Stripes didn't make more of a showing.
All in all, an odd night. With all of the performances, I can barely remember who won what. And how many lifetime achievemant awards did they give out? Anyone?
