i accomplished things today, it was refreshing. Though i'm confused as to how my appetite is growing now when i have little money to support it.

I applied for jobs today including (and I swear to God that I have no ulterior motives for this) the liquor store on main. The amount of jobs in this city is pathetic at best. It was either this, a bartender at the VFW, or a waiter at the Broken Spoke (i'll pass on that). I'm really not qualified to be a bartender, and my interview for the blackjack job keeps getting pushed back. Fuck 'em. And if i end up getting cheap booze as a result, so be it.





These shouldn't be in Valley City, aparently. They're living by one of the many bridges over the Sheyanne.

I discovered a series of trails up the hills behind my dorm tonight, a few of which lead up to the native american medicine wheel (link below) uptop.

I'm gonna map these out, methinks. At least it's something to do AND hiking is good exercise. Also discovered some cool shit over on the other end of town. There is a road closed sign and past that is an amazing grouping of trees and brushes coming up out of the blacktop road. It's totally nature reclaiming the road and i love it.



Goes on for quite some time. Also got some cool pictures of the "VC Waterfall" which is now the background for my deskop (which is what i'm using now).
