day 2 of forced sobriety due to my back medication
victor (my younger brother) graduated. his reception was attended by several family members. according to one family member, possibly inebriated, I "haven't reached my potential" and that I "haven't become a complete failure yet" either. This family is good at keeping me on my toes... as long as i'm teetering between potential and failure.
hung out with Erin and Cipher this evening while they drank...*sigh* Watched Rushmore and Michael Jackson's Number 1's DVD. We watched the later because it was found in the stack of Erin's brother's dvds. I laughed a great deal and demanded that we subject ourselves. No songs for oil, michael!
And it was determined that Michael Jackson is in fact more gay than Prince, even without the child molestation charges. Other things noticed:
1). Michael seems to dance with a lot of gangs for some reason.
2). The only one who is really "bad" in the bad video is the guy on rollerskates
3). In the bad video, if the wind is really that powerful when you remove the cover, how come it didn't blow off? it doesn't seem to be held very securely
4). The way you make me feel is possibly the worst video concept ever. Your gang is going to force a girl to talk to it's assumed leader. Really looks more like a set-up for gang-rape...if michael was straight that is.
5). If an elephant is dead in front of you and your villagers and you are hungry, for the love of god eat it while you can before michael jackson turns back time and it gets back to life!
6). Dirty Diana video has the best ending chord...ever
7). Thriller is still goddamn amusing
Not sure which day i'll be returning to VC. Could be wednesday, thursday, or friday. guess we'll see. I hate to leave friends and girlfriends hanging.

I was once a fan as a kid and still listen from time to time.
My fav Jackson music, which I still listen to a lot actually when I need to motivate myself to exercise, is the Jackon Five stuff. "ABC" is my favourite. No matter HOW bad of a mood I'm in I always smile and bop around when I hear that song.
