Not quite sure why i like Bush's generic cover of "the one I love" by REM from Woodstock 99, but i do. I also decided yesterday that I like Bush more than Nirvana. Does that mean they were more important than Nirvana? No, but i just like them better is all. And as discussed in High Fidelity, it is not bullshit to state a preference.
Dropped my Music History class once I opened up the book last night and decided once and for all that i'm in way over my head. Which is unfortunate but the class i picked up looks much better for me. Check this shit out, is this me or what:
Purpose of the course:
The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with audio basics, including microphones and recording techniques, mixers, software, and hardware used to produce primarily digitally-based music. Projects in the course will provide the student with practice using the techniques learned in class. This is a required course in the music and business degree program, but may be taken by any interested student. It is not designed to be taken more than once.
As a result of this course of study, students will be able to:choose and set up microphones for recording and amplification purposes choose hardware and software for specific music-making purposes demonstrate recording and sound-mixing techniques in a digital setting master and burn projects to CD or DVD

Couldn't say if I like Bush better than Nirvana. I probably listen to them more often. But I will say this: you seem to be getting obsessive about your goddamn live covers. Not that they're not good, but you're positions are...disconcerting. Like your thing about liking Billy Corgan and Eels covers of Beatles songs more than actual Beatles songs...that's just weird...
