I would like to write something that i just read:
As I'm a practicing Buddhist the 1st line applies mainly to me. But the rest you all can use if you choose and if you find this journal entry.
For waht purpose do we practice Nichiren Buddhism? It is to win in life. Victory is happiness--it brings us joi. Defeat on the other hand is misery. No excuse can take away the wretchedness of defeat.
It is important to win in life and never be defeated. That is the purpose of faith. If people are defeated in the end, then no matter how succesfull they may have appeared along the way, their life will ultimately have been a failure.
Victory in Buddhism equals eternal happiness. This is a crucial point. The victory we achieve through faith is valid not just for this existence but endures forever, throughout past, preseent and future.
Nichiren Buddhism provides an infallible formula for achieving eternal, indestructable victory.
THE MORE WE TAKE ACTION, THE MORE BRILLIANTLY OUR LIVES WILL SHINE
It is essential that we keep advancing boldy toward our goal of world peace through individual happiness(kosen-rufu). armed with the power of faith and Buddhist practice. Sometimes we may feel like taking a break and letting things slide. But the key is not to givein to that inertia and instead challenge ourselves to chant NAM-MYOHO-RENGE-KYO!!! Victory lies in such positive action.
