grave of the fireflies is an anime that takes place in japan during WWII. if you want to be depressed for days and days you should see it. actually its and amazing movie- but *sniffle* so sad.
six string samuri is a kung fu post apolyptic buddy holly type of movie. also kinda sad. but fucking awesome.
neither of these fine movies is likely to be available at blockbuster. but you can rent them from netflicks.com
