Breaking up is hard, (even if your the one that ended it). Because, at some point, weather it was you, or your past lover that did the breaking, you start to recap the relationship. Looking back sometimes a tit for tat scenario plays with your psyche. " Man I fucked up there, but she did this so f-her!" This mode of thought can bring about doubt, pain, and suffering from now past on circumstances, that if left un checked, can mess with your mind. The truth of the matter is that you both shared love, and although no longer intimate, looking back, if you surrender the ego to love, you can see the love that was meant for you, given to you from this person. In turn this helps you focus on what great feats of love that you gave, and there you have your closure. I sometimes fall back into that tit for tat scenario, being single AF right now whilst all of my former lovers are boo'd up, but then I think of those shimmering moments of heartfelt love, and then Gwen Stefani's "Cool" starts playing in my head haha.
