In the Age of Prohibition
Oh boy....
I'm wiped. Went out last night to see two shows, one in the city and one in Oakland, both friends' bands. Met some cool people. Met some girls.
Had some drinks. Had some more drinks. Came back home with some friends and proceeded to have... yes, even more drinks. Man, I haven't got that drunk in at least four years. I can't remember (and for good reason) the last time I had drunken friends pass out on my floor, one laying on top of my guitar and using my shoe as a pillow this time....ouch.
So after a lot of booze, 20 totino's pizza rolls, 2 pieces of fried chicken, and 10 hours of broken sleep trying to "shake off the drunk" I feel like complete shit today. I usually manage to avoid hangovers, but not this time. And all on the same day I had planned to turn my life around, becoming a positive, upstanding, and productive member of society. Oh well....
There's nothing like an alcohol-fueled night (and the inevitable day after) to remind you that you're not 23 anymore.

yep, im going to qotsa and mastodon. im a lucky girl. i listened to some of that velvet teen. thanks for the recomendation! sounds good! looks like they are gonna play @ bottom of the hill later next month. i may have to check them out.
