i left that last set up a day or two longer than i intended....been busy.

your winners and advancing to the third round and the Sweet Sixteen...incidentally, these were some close ass matchups, mostly decided by one vote

ANALYSIS: Colt went toe to toe with the best there is. Alex is a scrappy little bastard and crafty. but will it be enough to take on the kung-fu master?



2. Captain Spaulding (Devil's Rejects) vs. Stansfield (Lon)

ANALYSIS: this one is a tough call. Spaulding is bigger, stronger and more brutal, but Stansfield is clever and the analgesic side effect of his drug addiction might give him the edge.



3. Francis Begbie (Trainspotting) vs. D-Fens (Falling Down)

ANALYSIS: one is a chain-smoking sociopath who gets off on fighting, the other is a white-collar joe with an unpredictable temper who has completely lost his grip of reality. theres really no way of guessing who the best man is.



4. Angel Eyes (The Good, the Bad & the Ugly) vs. Mr. Blonde (Reservoir Dogs)

ANALYSIS: another toss up. Mr. Blonde is a sick bastard, but Angel Eyes cannot be intimidated by his antics. its a classic battle of the hothead vs. the cool strong silent type.



5. Bill the Butcher (Gangs of New York) vs. Sheriff John Quincy Wydell (Devil's Rejects)

ANALYSIS: being about the same age, they are pretty evenly matched in physical prowess. both are street smart and capable. the only real edge might have to go to Bill whom despite his nasty edge is much more focused and deliberate.



6. Annie Wilkes (Misery) vs. GoGo Yubari (Kill Bill)

ANALYSIS: on the surface, this one seems lopsided as GoGo is a trained killer. still, Annie is a crazy bitch. a really really crazy bitch. ive dealt with a lot of these. its best not to piss them off.



7. Patrick Bateman (American Psycho) vs. Tyler Durden (Fight Club)

ANALYSIS: the only downside to this match is that its in the second round. this could be a main event. and theres plenty of eye candy for the ladies. unfortunately, they probably wont be so pretty when its over.



8. Elle Driver (Kill Bill) vs. Derek Vinyard (American History X)

ANALYSIS: Driver may be a trained killer, but Vinyard has a sick side that would make the marquis de sade blush as well as a decided strength advantage. yet another toss up.
