continuing coverage from the 2008 Ronald Reagan Memorial Villain Invitational Tournament

round 1 is over and here are your last 8 competitors to advance to the second round....

Bill the Butcher bitch-slaps Ike Turner
Sheriff John Quincy Wydell over Rev. Harry Powell (tiebreaker)
Annie Wilkes outguns William Munny
GoGo Yubari crushes Bricktop
Patrick Bateman defeats Frank Booth
Tyler Durden defeats Luke
Elle Driver over Neil McCauley
Derek Vinyard destroys Little Bill Daggett

and here comes round 2!

rules are same as always

1. you pick the winners
2. no weapons allowed, only brute force and ingenuity.

1. Bill (Kill Bill) vs. Hannibal Lector (Silence of the Lambs)

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Bill

Hannibal Lector

ANALYSIS: both of these guys are over the hill, but this match has huge implications as both of them are crowd favorites. Lector has the edge in brains, but Bill is undoubtedly better trained in fighting. one thing is for sure. this will NOT be pretty.

2. Mickey Knox (Natural Born Killers) vs. Anton Chigurh (No Country For Old Men)

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Mickey Knox

Anton Chigurh

ANALYSIS: if you gathered all that is human from these two guys, you might have enough to make a finger. neither of them seems to have anything resembling a conscience. they seem to be pretty evenly matched. the x factor is Chigurh. a lot about his character is shrouded in mystery, though its quite apparent that hes a professional, whereas Mickey just kills for shits and giggles.

3. Jack Torrance (The Shining) vs. Otis B. Driftwood (The Devil's Rejects)

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Jack Torrance

Otis B. Driftwood

ANALYSIS: this one isnt going to be fancy. lets just hope whoever has to clean it up brings a lot of fucking mop-n-glo.

4. Joker (Batman: The Dark Knight) vs. Travis Bickle (Taxi Driver)

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Joker

Travis Bickle

ANALYSIS: this is one of the more bizarre matchups. neither competitor has a clear advantage. both men are extremely unpredictable and this one will probably come down to the wire.

5. Wah Sing Ku (Lethal Weapon IV) vs. Baby Firefly (Devil's Rejects)

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Wah Sing Ku

Baby Firefly

ANALYSIS: while Baby is most definitely outmatched in the strength and training department, her psychology and courage are almost without equal. the decision rests on her ability to outsmart the triad.

6. Marsellus Wallace (Pulp Fiction) vs. Bullet Tooth Tony (Snatch.)

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Marsellus Wallace

Bullet Tooth Tony

ANALYSIS: a couple of heavyweights here. even the winner wouldnt feel like one when this was over with. both are no-nosense, kick ass first, ask questions later kinda guys. flip a coin.

7. Mallory Knox (Natural Born Killers) vs. Max Cady (Cape Fear)

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Mallory Knox

Max Cady

ANALYSIS: heres another matchup where one has the brains and one has the brawn. ill give you three guesses which is which and the first two dont count.

8. Mr. Joshua (Lethal Weapon) vs. Frank Costello (The Departed)

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Mr. Joshua

Frank Costello

ANALYSIS: Frank might be a bit overmatched here, but anything can happen. hes nobodys bitch and wont go down easily if he does go down.

we are right about at the halfway point. keep up the good work, folks and dont forget to vote!
