i think it's one of those deals that you luck into by knowing the right people, at least that's how it worked for me. some festivals are easier to break into than others. the KIFF isn't the easiest to get involved with in this degree because it's a tight group that's known each other for awhile. try volunteering if you're interested, that may be a good start. 
well, things have slowed down quite a bit in the last couple of days. i had an amazing amount of energy while i was in mexico but i think i left it at the border.

Flan is a custard style dessert. It is like a cross between yogurt and jello. The consistency is too weird for me, but a lot of people love it and it is definitely something to try. The drizzle light caramel sauce over the top of it.
well, i'm off to mexico in the morning where i'll be wandering around the desert building houses and shooting documentaries. i'll be back with pictures and news soon.
